Nonlinear Optical Spectroscopy of Materials

Nonlinear optical properties are closely associated with new technologies such as high-resolution optical microscopy, 3D optical storage, ultrafast optical switches, photodynamic therapy, among others. In this line of research, we are interested in investigating ONL effects such as two-photon absorption, nonlinear refractive index and first-order optical hyperpolarizability of organic and semiconductor materials. For this purpose, we use optical techniques such as Z-Scanning and Hyper-Rayleigh Scattering using subnanosecond laser pulses.
