Prof. Marcelo G. Vivas is interested in linear and nonlinear optical properties of materials. He has worked with polymeric materials, organic molecules, semiconductor nanocrystals, and metallic NPs. The projects coordinated at LEO&F range from the investigation of fundamental optical processes such as absorption and nonlinear scattering to the fabrication of devices via optical laser microstructuring techniques and excitation and testing techniques.
